Hi there!
Have a few minutes to spare to write since I didn't yesterday. I am not going to make me feel like I have to do this everyday, but I may recap the day before. Lucky you.
Or not. Nothing really mind-blowing happened. B was off and still did not go see his doctor - so I am still unofficially his Dr./Nurse. He made greens and veal piccata for dinner (for us) and since D was there for dinner, he made him and J pasta and meatballs w/homemade sauce. When I got home he was starting the greens and the meat was done - at that time we didn't know D was going to join us for dinner. B had a 6:20 eye appt, which was great because I had to pick up my new glasses (!!!) that just came in (Burberry frames). Once I confirmed I liked the fit, I left to pick up J from practice - B already picked up N and took him to work at 5:15 - D came to my Jeep door and asked to have dinner with us, who can deny that? I can't. Something I inherited from my mother; never turn away a hungry mouth. So I dropped them off, with Bradley, back at home. Went to Walgreens to get some makeup and back to the eye doctor to pick up B. When I got there he was done with his exam and was picking out frames...with dilated pupils. It was out of a matte grey Polo frame or a grey tortoise Cole Haan (😐) and even though I liked the first, the latter looked much better on his face. In the end, I told him he would be the one wearing them. I also told him I would be more likely to want him as my banker in the latter glasses and he has already done the matte frames. After making the lens options and paying we left only to get a phone call that B was not done with his appointment and to please come back. He went back and doctor confirmed he does not have glaucoma or cancer. Yay! Once we got home, he started on the pasta (while watching the Pistons and Mavericks - PISTONS WON!) and I took in an episode of Teen Mom 2. Kailyn annoys me. Ate dinner and took D home; I had to drive as B's vision was still blurry. Came home and started on prepping the berries - strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries - for their to-go containers, made 6. By that time, B was asleep on the couch and I thought it was too late to let him have any. So here is where I made the mistake last night and was a bit selfish: I had been staying up the past few nights for N and then wake up B when it was time to go get him, but tonight I was going to sleep. Told B it was up to him and I was going to bed, the real bed. Woke up in a panic to several missed calls and shook B awake to ask if he got Nyles, by that time it was 5:08am...oops! He said no and my heart dropped, but he later explained he woke up in a panic as well at 2:10am and N was in the kitchen making him something to eat. I felt horrible. Later I had to go give him a big hug and kiss to apologize. Went through the normal morning routine and N stayed late, so I offered to take him to school-but he declined. Call it mother intuition, but something was definitely off, or should I say fishy. Got my eyes on him (pun intended). 👓
Already finished two designs and preparing for my next. One of my designers (T) offered to get the office La Madeleine for lunch, so excuse me while I peruse the menu. Ye-Bay!
