Where to start? Right when I want to document my life events, my life will not allow it.
I'll start with last night and go backwards from there, if I get that far.
So yesterday was April 20th...which is the anniversary of the day B and I met...in San Antonio face to face...sixteen years ago. To celebrate, we decided to go to dinner at a restaurant we pass all the time when we take our infamous drives on the weekends and sometimes weeknights called El Corazon in South Dallas, Bishop Arts District. Also, since that night in San Antonio consisted of Mexican food and a light pole, we always try to incorporate those two items when possible. So lets back up a bit more to the morning. I had to be to work on time as this was the first day our new General Manager was arriving. Wore my favorite Michael Kors dress and purse with my favorite black patent leather pumps with gold trim to match my dress. I was shockingly on time and the day went better than I could have imagined it to. We had lunch brought in from Jason's Deli and had a Leadership Meeting where I found out I will be going to convention in June. It will be in Scottsdale...and ending on the day the boys graduate. I will be exhausted that following Monday. Once I got home, I straightened up and loved on the doggie, per usual, before picking up N for work - J too, but no work. After dropping N off, got J Whataburger since B and I would be going out. Well 6 o'clock passed and still no B, then 6:15, nothing, no phone call. So me being Geneva, I decided to start early on this party and cheered myself in more ways than one. ๐
So by the time he got home, not sure what time, but LATE, I was feeling pretty good but not with his arrival time. He cushioned the blow with flowers and two bottles of sparkly (Champagne), but I was still being a brat. In the car ride I calmed down a bit and the rest of the ride was like any other. Once we got to the restaurant, I noticed our waiter was the Mexican version of The Weekend. Got our drink order in, a Meltdown Margarita for us both which had a shot of Gran Marnier, but I think it was half and half, and ordered their appetizer for (2). B immediately fell in love with the food, the mini tostadas and taco were so cute, we also got flautas and quesadillas, gaucamole, queso and pico de gallo. If you know me, I rate all Mexican restaurants by their chips and salsa - they passed. We both ordered the Make Your Own Combo, I had a mini chimichanga and a cheese and onion enchilada with that nasty chili con carne Texas seems to put on everything and I forgot to ask for on the side and B got the same thing but he added one more item, I forgot what though. I am totally blaming the alcohol at this point and failed to mention the wine I had while waiting for a certain somebody to get home, Mescato to be exact. So as I was boxing up our food, I just had to tell our waiter he reminded me of The Weekend, which I am sure he took as a compliment, but can't remember his exact response other than B and I had a whole conversation with him and I couldn't tell you what it was about. I digress, don't worry the climax is about to happen. So as we are leaving I needed to take a photo to post to Instagram and when we walked in I knew when I left I wanted a certain shot. Considering the state I was in, I can't believe I got such a great, steady shot. We got in the car and started on our drive back when I started to feel queasy. I let B know and he asked if I could wait until he pulled over - I couldn't. I had to use our 'blanket' (which really is a blanket, just used for different purposes in the Jeep, and no, not that, gutterheads) as my 'bucket' to catch the contents coming out of my mouth. You would've thought I swallowed the devil, I did not stop. He finally pulled over and I was able to finish and I got my light pole view (inside joke). But once we started driving again back on the highway, I started again, so back to the blanket. I could feel the contents started to leak into my lap (sososo gross!) and told B I was going to throw it out the window. I don't really rememeber doing that, but according to him, not only did I litter a huge, disgusting detritus, but I did it in front of a cop. What seemed like five seconds later we were home and I was guided to my front door by my wonderful husby who then helped me into the shower and the rest is a complete blur. Surprisingly, I woke up feeling great, naked with wet hair, but great. What a night to remember! Or not.
Ending on a more magical, colorful topic, B was gracious enough to bring me the new Unicorn Frappuccino from Starbucks that was just released the day before (Wednesday). Later we went to the boys game at Wilmer Hutchins to watch them win and my husband choke on kettle chips. But that is another story in the Life of Geneva.
Less than five minutes from going home and I am already late. Had to bring the black jeep today as we were not sure on the smell, so auto-start it is. It's Friday!!!

If I could turn back time...
Any one else sing the title in their Cher voice?
Since starting this, so much has happened. This was the reason for me to create this blog - to vent and allow all feelings and emotions to be raw. But, in reality, I shut down and shut everyone out but B.
I feel betrayed, disrespected, annoyed and just straight up confused, among many, many other twisted feelings. Saying it was the worst and I have yet to actually type it.
My son is a... father.

What a week!
Where to begin besides noting it is FRIDAY! This was one the busiest weeks so far this year. I had a business trip on Monday that flew out at 6am! Which meant I needed to be at the airport at or around 4am!!! So I was up a little after two and out the door by 4:20 and on the way to the airport, with my husby of course. Not sure why i didn't notice before but he was going to Lovefield and I needed to be at DFW, so we had to turnaround. Got there just in time to check in and board - not before I was picked for the special random search. Also had enough time to grab a latte from LaCreme, not the best, but it sufficed. The flight was full and I was second to last to board, but was happy to know I had a window seat...and no one was in my row. Flight was fine, although Netflix wouldn't work, and once I got my bag from baggage claim - yes, I checked a bag for an overnight - I was informed I needed to take a taxi to the hotel. This was new to me as I have never been in a taxi by myself and was a bit nervous, thanks to the movie The Bone Collector; had me looking for locks and window controls. Ride was looong and pricey, $55+. Once there, met with some of the other attendees, got some coffee and put in my breakfast order since our meeting didn't start until noon and it was just 9am. My room was not ready (and wouldn't be ready until 4pm) so I was that person lugging my luggage with me everywhere. Won't bore you with the meeting details, but it was nice to finally meet everyone, well mostly everyone ๐. I will point out there was great discussion about these amazing pretzels that would be delivered at 3pm since lunch was not going to be provided, and I did not get to try one. Anyway, meeting ended at 6pm and was finally able to check-in. Unfortunately, I was not informed I would need to pay for my own room, so that was a bit of a surprise. I digress. Embarrassed to admit, but once I walked in my room I started crying. This was my first time to travel alone AND spend the night in a hotel by myself - I felt so empty. Called B to calm me down and catch up on Bradley's surgery earlier in the day. Thank God B was off due to President's Day! We had a bowling function set up and I needed to change and make sure I didn't get left behind. I also texted Princess, she was going to pick me up so we could have dinner. She drove down from Prescott just to see me!! Got downstairs just in time to catch the last group (of five - i made six) leaving. What a ride! We were going in a minivan and the guys let me have a captain chair while three of them packed themselves like sardines in the back row - what a sight! They were not small - still makes me laugh out loud thinking about it. Followed the drink tickets to the bar and had a surprisingly great conversation with someone unexpected. He ordered our drinks - Mandarin Vodka with soda - and I texted Princess I was ready. Said my goodbyes for the night and went outside to wait for her while I called my husby for another update, on him, boys and dog. Thirty minutes later I was with Princess and we decided on Ruby Tuesday as it was the closest to the hotel. Dinner went great; I am sure I waiter was wondering if we were ever going to order and then finally leave. She ended up staying the night with me, which was great as I wouldn't have to be alone. I ended up falling asleep on her, but only after a few more hours of girl talk while laying in bed. Got up the next morning and wanted to watch Phoenix AM news, but was the perfect roommate as I tried to be quiet while getting ready. Was downstairs by 7;45am and wasn't in the mood for breakfast and decided to skip (mistake) and opted for lemon water and coffee. Got late check-out and went for Princess๐ธ around 12:15. We said our goodbyes and I made it just in time to catch the last shuttle to the WMC training center. Had lunch (Subway - not my favorite) and toured the facility. After that we were on our own- that meant I had to find my own way to the airport as most people were staying for another night. Luckily, I shared an Uber with Joelle and Tim; more like hitched a ride. Got to the airport and AFTER I checked my big bag and went through security did I realize I forgot to put my my favorite knife. So of course, this caused me to be pulled aside and questioned once again. Forfeited my steel and on my way. Stopped by a gift shop to buy some socks (my NM chile one's were ruined with holes from the boys and it was cold on my flight there AND I had no socks at all for the trip) and while passing saw Joelle at an eatery (Olive and Ivy). After much deliberation, finally decided to order something from where she was sitting - glass of Pinot and a margarita pizza (talk about guilty pleasures) - and I went back for a 2nd - glass not slice. Let the wine do the talking and it was finally time to board, or so I thought; flight was half an hour late. Sat next to Eminem (not really) who watched me put on my socks and try desperately for an hour to get the internet to work. To no avail, I settled with working on designs. Finally landed, got luggage and met B outside - we must have looked like the couples in movies who reconnect like they haven'e seen each other in years! I couldn't let go..until I saw Bradley. Ride home was great - my husby is the best! ๐

Real Quick
Quick post to vent on how funny females can be. There are always those few who seem to be intimidated by my presence. Geneva, the lioness.

Funny how
So it's Saturday and all was well until I had to cancel out appointment with Block Advisors aka H&R Block. Got up and took the boys to McDonald's before dropping them off at their game around 10am. - N couldn't find his wallet so we waited bit on him. Came home and fought with myself to start getting ready. Took in an episode of The Kitchen while trying to pass Level 345 in Candy Crush that I have been stuck on for over a week. Finally made it to the game 45 minutes late, but in my defense it was a scrimmage. Was a bad girl again because I had nachos (had some last night too) but I did bring my lemon and mint water. I ended up leaving early (they were losing 3-0) to find our W-2's, or his anyway - I knew where mine was. Got home and couldn't find it, so I decided to just cancel and reschedule. Besides we were now running late and B was still at the game when I called him at 2:50 and we should've already been there or on the way. So we will try it again next weekend at 4pm. Now here is when things got touchy,...I wanted to leave the dog and go have lunch and after stop by the mall, but I didn't mention any of this to B. So when he called I asked him if I should leave the dog and without him knowing my plans he said yes; I go into rebellion mode and say things and before you know it I hang up on him. He comes home (so does N to find his wallet - he does) and starts cleaning up. So far he has cleaned the bathroom from the dog being home and is now doing the dishes, very loud might I point out. Debating whether or not to go give him a hug and end this weirdness between us and enjoy this Saturday, which is gorgeous by the way. Let's see what happens, hopefully, I won't be back with a regret post.
*Update(2min later): hug went well although we still haven't said a word to each other and he is now working on the trash.
**Update(5min later): Made some peace sticks and he is now cleaning the boys bathroom. Hmm, should I wait until he's done or waltz right in with the offering. I'll wait.
